Tamara Magda Szabó, Psychologist, Relaxation Training Facilitator, and Family Therapist Trainee

Psychologist, Relaxation Training Facilitator, and Family Therapist Trainee

I typically work with adolescents and young adults who are experiencing uncertainty or feeling stuck in several areas of their lives at once. These may include:

  • difficulties related to eating and body image
  • identity exploration and questions such as “Where do I go from here?”
  • self-esteem and self-worth issues
  • perfectionism, pressure to meet expectations, and difficulties managing stress
  • loneliness, relationship concerns, or worries related to sexuality
  • career-choice and educational decision-making dilemmas
  • the internal experience of struggling to maintain a stable sense of who I really am

I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), specializing in Clinical and Health Psychology. As a family therapist in training, I am currently completing the training program of the Hungarian Family Therapy Association. I received my training in the autogenic training method through the Hungarian Association for Relaxation and Symbol Therapy.

I am also actively involved in research on eating disorders at ELTE.
